satirical versions of fairy tales.

concretely illustrates how language and gender stereotyping interact
causally.

Students learn to use Internet resources for conducting research.
1984
This supplemental unit provides resources for students in 11-12th
grade to focus on issues and themes related to to George Orwell's
novel,1984. During these lessons, students examine the novel's themes
and make connection to current issues and their lives. Students will
produce a variety of written products including essays, e-mail, and
analysis of modern political discourse.

Using Primary Sources
Students learn to distinguish between primary and secondary sources of
information. Students also learn to find and evaluate primary sources
for research projects.

(OWL) is a helpful resource for research and writing papers. OWL
includes free handouts and PowerPoint presentations.
