Lesson Plans: Classroom Newspaper This lesson plan helps students learn about sentence writing and using writing mechanics that enhance and clarify understanding. There are many other language arts objectives covered in this lesson. Changing Seasons This is a plan using the book Changing Seasons. The book has repeated patterns in sentences and simple sentence structure. Sentence Quest: Using Parts of Speech to Write Descriptive Sentences This multi-session activity uses students’ speaking vocabularies to help them learn about complete sentences. How Do I Read This? Lesson Four of this unit, What's It Say?, focuses on concepts of print. The teacher provides explicit instruction on sentence features.

Resources: Watson's Word Wall: This is a printable activity that lets students build sentences with words that follow particular letter/ vowel combination. Monkey Business, Episode 1: This game help teaches correct word order in sentences. Sentence Construction: Here are a few sentence construction worksheets. Suggestions for English Language Learners: (E/B=Entering/Beginning, D=Developing, E=Expanding) (E/B) Students copy teacher and peer created writings. (D) Students works with a buddy who helps them find correctly written sentences in their writing.
