and personification
(COS 32/ SAT10) |
|
Lesson Plans:
Oh, Let
the Rain Fall Down
Using the three phases of the water cycle and five science vocabulary
words, students write a narrative paragraph(s) describing the journey
of a raindrop during one day. This introduces personification.
Similar
Similes
The students learn that similes are figures of speech that use the
words -as- and -like- as visual terms. They use this knowledge to
complete a worksheet where they write some similes.
Onomatopoeia
In this lesson students explore onomatopoeia and create poems using
this device.
Buzz! Whiz! Bang! Using Comic Books to Teach
Onomatopoeia
In this lesson students use onomatopoeic words, develop a vocabulary
