From One Rotation To Another
The objective in this lesson is to determine the launch window for a spacecraft to travel from a rotating Earth to a rotating Mars.

In this lesson, students will use food to demonstrate their understanding of the sectors and arc lengths in a circle.

On page 6 of this file there is a brief description of arc length and sector area along with a table of values to complete given various parts of a circle.  On other pages there is information and great problems on circles unrelated to arcs and sectors.
