Std 2:  Justify theorems related to pairs of angles, including angles formed by parallel and perpendicular lines, vertical angles, adjacent angles, complementary angles, and supplementary angles.

Lesson Plans

Noodles Away!
This lesson will assist students to see angle relationships and the relationship of parallel lines and transversals. This exercise is good for visual and tactile learners, since it is of a concrete nature. Students of all academic levels can enjoy this.

Illuminations
Investigate the relationships of lines and angles created by intersecting lines with these interactive math tools. This includes step-by-step interactive construction of perpendiculars, angle bisectors, medians, etc.

Properties of Parallel Lines
A discovery lesson covering angles created from parallel lines crossed by a transversal.

What is Your Angle
Students will apply geometric properties and relationships to aircraft wings.  In this lesson they will use NASA provided information to determine what angles are acute, right, supplementary, etc.
