Std 12: Locate days, dates, and months on a calendar.
        Examples:  locating the third Thursday of the month on a calendar;
                          recognizing that today is Tuesday, January 24
  • Using vocabulary associated with a calendar
    Example: using the words yesterday, today, tomorrow, day before, day after

Lesson Plans:

Calendar Creations
The students will identify the days, weeks, and months of the year through literature and artistic expression.

Calendar Time
Students will learn and recall the days of the week and will be able to locate and label the days of the week on a calendar.

Calendar--Days of the Week
Students will learn the days of the week and complete a weekly journal to share with the class.

Calendar--Months of the Year
Students will learn the months of the year and make a class book using their birthdays and the types of weather in that month.
