Std 9:
Write number sentences for word problems that involve multiplication or division.
           

Lesson Plans:

Anno's Magic Seeds
Students will practice the use of patterns, expand given patterns, and write equations to match the pattern given.

Rambling-Scrambling Math
Students will use their previously learned math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to make a number sentence true.

Practicing Problem Solving Strategies
Students will learn different strategies to solve word problems.

The Key to Word Problems
Students will learn the key words to look for in multiplication and division word problems.  They will then analyze, write, and solve multiplication and division word problems.

Two By One Multiplication
Students make models using base-ten blocks to find products of two-digits by one-digit problems.  They will identify information needed to solve a given problem and select the appropriate operation (addition, subtraction, or multiplication) for a given problem situation.
