Grade 5, Math Std 10: Identify the center, radius, and diameter of a circle.

Lesson Plans: Discovering Pi Students will discover and demonstrate the formula for finding circumference using pi. Bubble Mania Students will measure the diameter, approximate the circumference, and determine the area of a soap bubble print. Measuring Circles Through the use of children's literature and various household items, students will learn how to measure circumference, radius, and diameter. Sir Cumference and the First Round Table Students will understand the terms and measure circumference, diameter, and radius. (This lesson also incorporates the sub goal of naming geometric shapes.) Sir Cumference and the First Round Table Students will analyze characteristics of various 2 dimensional shapes and explore their properties and use various vocabulary terms to discuss geometric relationships.
