A to Z Teacher Stuff - Metric Conversions:
Student learn fundamentals of converting metric measurements.
 
Students will learn how to convert quantities from the English system to the metric system; and think about the many ways in which measuring quantities is a part of daily life.
 
Anson Tiger Cubs - Native Americans of Tejas:
At the end of this unit of study students will be able to identify and understand some of the customs and traditions of certain Texas Native American tribes.

How Do You Measure Up:
Students use measurement skills to gather data, and graph results.

Let's Give a Hand and a Foot to Measurement: 
Students will improve measurement and geometry skills by using tools to measure length, area, and perimeter of body parts. Then students will use a graphing program to compare data. Finally, students will assemble data in a multimedia project.

Banana Day:
A plan designed to measure the curved length of a banana.

Animal Weigh-In:
Students play an on-line game comparing kilograms to pounds.
