Grade 8, Math
Std #9:
Determine the measures of special angle pairs, including adjacent, vertical, supplementary, and complementary angles, and angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal.

Lesson Plans:

Angles:
This lesson is designed to introduce students to acute, obtuse, and right angles.

Complementary, Supplementary, and Vertical Angles
Students will learn terms, apply knowledge of angles, and solve problems

Safe Navigation
Students working individually will plot a course on graph paper using a compass rose and a ruler.  They will then establish the course outdoors in teams using a compass, compass rose, measuring tape, and transit.

Acute One or An Obtuse One?
Students will determine types of angles and estimate their measures.

I Need Proof!
Students will learn about mathematical proofs, and to formulate two-column mathematical proofs about triangles.
