Using Binary to Send Messages into Space:
 To show how messages are sent into space using radio telescopes with the hope that the messages will be received and understood by intelligent life in other solar systems.

Time Travel to the Edge of the Universe and Back!: Students will:
1. study the size of the universe, 2. calculate the time to travel to near and distant destinations, 3.construct a time scale model of the universe by using time travel distances.

Optical Images
Students beginning the study of optics will recite the law of reflection, but are unable to apply that concept to ray diagrams when viewing images.  Using a laser students can aim at the image and conceptualize the law of reflection.
