HS, Astronomy Std 33: Relate Hubble's law with the concept of an ever-expanding universe.

Lesson Plans: The Distance to the Hyades Cluster To find the distance to the Hyades star cluster using the convergent point method; to recognize the uncertainties in using this method; to summarize the significant results obtained by the Hipparchos satellite and what these results mean for the distance scale of the Universe. Hubble Galaxy Formation In this exercise, you will learn to classify galaxies using the Hubble Classification scheme. You will also find their distances using the Hubble law. Hubble's Law The student will determine a value for Hubble's constant, based on their observations of the images and spectra of 12 spiral galaxies. The Expanding Universe In this exercise, you will use a two-dimensional analogy to explore the expansion of the Universe.
