Grade 7, Civics Std 7.0: Describe the relationship between the consumer and the marketplace in the economy of the United States regarding scarcity, opportunity cost, trade-off decision making, characteristics of a market economy, and supply and demand.

Lesson Plans: Supply and Demand This lesson allows for personal involvement in the concept of supply and demand which helps the students see how it relates to their everyday life. Taking stock of market In this lesson students will determine the overall performance of the stock market during their lifetime and make predictions about future performance. (Lesson can be modified for 7th grade.) The Price of Beanie Babies The nine (9) lessons presented here discuss a variety of variables involving the impact of the consumer in the marketplace.
