In this lesson students will develop an understanding of the diversity of countries, peoples, and geography that exists on the continent of Africa.

Exploring African Culture
In this lesson, students  will read articles about everyday life in Africa and create an interview based on the information in the article.

A Woman's Worth
In this lesson, students will examine the changing roles of women in cultures around the world. Particular attention will be paid to the dying profession of female Korean divers.

It Takes a Village: Examining a Matriarchal Village in Kenya to Analyze the Roles of Women around the World
In this lesson, students discuss traditional gender roles  and the concept of stereotypes and then learn about a village in Kenya run by women.
