Oil and Water in the Middle East Region
In this lesson, students will use maps to look at the distribution of oil in the Middle East and discuss what it means for the different countries in the region. They will also study specific aspects of Iraq's struggles with water, using satellite imagery to understand and illustrate the problem.

Rich, Poor, or Somewhere in the Middle
This lesson offers students an opportunity to use economic and social indicators to identify the connection between a country's access to resources and its economic development.

Oil: The Problem or Solution to the World's Economic Future
This lesson requires students to analyze maps and charts in determining the distribution of oil on the Earth's surface and the economic impact oil transportation networks have on the rest of the world's economy. (Click cancel twice to bypass the password)
