Lesson Plans:

Campaign Finance Simulation.
Students role play politicians and special interest groups in a simulation of how the two groups interact with one another, learning about how their relationship shapes the contours of campaign finance.

Campaign Policy.
In this lesson students will analyze major issues in the current presidential campaign. Additionally, they will identify individuals or groups affected by each issue and compare candidates' political stances.

Campaign Finance Laws
The purpose of this unit is to examine the relationship between democracy and the present election process in the United States, especially the reliance of politicians on interest group campaign contributions and what that means for democracy.

Campaign Finance Reform
Students will identify and explain the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill. Determine the advantages and disadvantages of restrictions on "soft money." Defend their position on the use of soft money in political campaigns
