Lesson Plans:

Loyalists in the American Revolution

The Boston Massacre.
Students will be given background information about the Boston Massacre, and then they will be asked to examine the engraving of the event by Paul Revere. Students will determine the flaws in the engraving and learn why it was engraved with those flaws.

The Declaration of Independence and Natural Rights

The Revolutionary War.
A complete module on the American Revolution from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Includes links to lessons, images, and interactive quizzes


Colonial Rules.
Students will empathize with the frustration of American colonist under the Coercive Acts.


Paul Revere: American Patriot
Students examine first-person accounts, works of historical fiction, a popular narrative poem, and other resources.
