Lesson Plans:

Become a Thanksgiving Historian  Students may be surprised to find out that some ideas they have about the history of Thanksgiving are actually myths.  In this lesson students become a true "Thanksgiving historian" by completing a Venn diagram about the Wampanoag people and the Pilgrims with information acquired through Internet searches.

Eyewitness to History
In this lesson, students explore this second set of connections, talking with family members about landmark events they have witnessed in their lifetimes to learn how history touches our lives.

Using A Newspaper Index
Students will discover how to use an index to find out what's in a newspaper.
