Galileo and the Inevitability of Ideas
Students understand the historical significance of Galileo's scientific achievements, explore the element of "inevitability" in our perception of historical developments, and examine the values underlying historic choices.

Galileo's Dialog
Student understand the heightened emotions that come from scientific discoveries that challenge religious beliefs by comparing Galileo's experiences with modern scientific discoveries.

Brainstorming the Scientific Revolution
A brainstorming lesson using Inspiration software. Students link scientists, ideas, and discoveries of the scientific revolution. Lesson can be modified to teach graphic organizers with or without Inspiration software.

The Scientific Revolution Webquest
Students will explain the discoveries of the Scientific Revolution and how they changed the way in which early modern Europeans understood the movements of planets and objects in general;  explore the confrontation between these scientific discoveries and the opposition voice by the Catholic Church.
