Human Rights Education
A collection of lesson activities and teaching guides produced by Amnesty International dealing with human rights issues.

Children of War
Students read, analyze, and discuss excerpts from children’s war diaries (including WW II); and create a storyboard for a public service announcement on children’s rights in wartime. Lesson includes discussion questions, suggested readings, web links, evaluation, extensions, and vocabulary.

Analyzing the purpose and meaning of political cartoons.
Students learn to evaluate political cartoons for their messages in this lesson. The teacher introduces the activity by exposing students to a political cartoon that presents a puzzling or contradictory perspective that will stimulate critical inquiry.

Worlds Apart: A Teach-In on Apartheid in South Africa
Students will research five hundred years of social, economic, territorial, and political history in South Africa, with a focus on the apartheid system.
