Once Upon a Link:  A PowerPoint Adventure With Fractured Fairy Tales
Sometimes students have trouble understanding the difference between the global issues of revising and the local ones of editing.  In this lesson students practice revision and editing as separate activities when they write their own versions of other fairy tales.

Be the Editor!
Students search for capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and grammar errors in a worksheet about famous black Americans.

Stop That Run-On!
Run-on sentences inhibit understanding and weaken someone's writing.  In this lesson, students will learn to identify run-on sentences and how to fix them.  They will then apply those skills to their own writing.
