Introduction:  Although there is no provision for political parties in the Constitution, they are a major part of national elections.  This project is designed to interest students in the current presidential election and the platforms of the various parties.

Task:  Students will become knowledgeable about their government through research and group discussion.  Students will work in groups of two teams.  Each team will make a power point presentation using the Jeopardy Game format.  The questions will address the platform of the major political parties as well as the rights, responsibilities, and choices of each citizen.

 

Each student will also make a bumper sticker promoting the candidate/party that he or she supports.
